MakeMyTrip GenAI Trip Planning Assistant: Voice and Text-Based Booking Now Live

MakeMyTrip GenAI Trip Planning Assistant

New Delhi: MakeMyTrip has launched its GenAI Trip Planning Assistant, a cutting-edge innovation designed to offer personalized, real-time travel assistance through voice and text conversations.

Built on a network of specialized AI agents, the assistant – an upgraded version of ‘Myra’ – is live in English and Hindi, with more Indian languages to follow.

The MakeMyTrip GenAI Trip Planning Assistant marks a significant evolution in the online travel industry by allowing users to go beyond traditional filters and structured queries.

Whether users ask, “Where can I go in August for a relaxing family vacation?” or “Mujhe ₹3500 ke budget mein Udaipur mein 3-star hotel chahiye,” Myra delivers dynamic, personalized responses and facilitates booking within the same conversation.

Unlike many global platforms that stop at recommendations, MakeMyTrip’s AI system seamlessly bridges inspiration to action, enabling end-to-end bookings. It supports multi-modal inputs – text, voice, and soon image/video – and manages everything from itinerary edits to post-sales support in one interface.

Rajesh Magow, Co-Founder and Group CEO, said: “With GenAI, we are transforming user intent into action through intuitive conversations. This assistant not only enhances access for India’s non-English-speaking population but also brings intelligent travel booking to every corner of Bharat.”

Sanjay Mohan, Group CTO, added: “This is among the most complex tech architectures we’ve built – custom language models, real-time verification systems, and multi-agent collaboration. It allows us to create personalized, flexible, and human-like interactions across all major travel categories.”

MakeMyTrip GenAI Trip Planning Assistant: Expected to Set New Benchmark

MakeMyTrip has consistently used AI to enhance its platform, with past innovations like Fare Lock, Zero Cancellation, and predictive train booking tools.

The latest launch of MakeMyTrip GenAI Trip Planning Assistant amplifies that commitment by enabling semantic search, AI-led media queries, and more fluid planning through abstract, intent-based inputs.

Currently in beta, the MakeMyTrip GenAI Trip Planning Assistant is expected to set a new benchmark in how Indian consumers – especially from Tier 2 and Tier 3 regions – discover, book, and experience travel.
